BAGADUCE MUSIC PRESENTS CABARET NIGHTS WITH METROPOLITAN OPERA TENOR & STONINGTON JEWELER JOHN MCVEIGH AND BROADWAY STARS
BLUE HILL – For the second year in a row, Bagaduce Music presents Stonginton-based jeweler and Metropolitan Opera tenor, John McVeigh and his colleagues in a program of Broadway tunes on Saturday, July 23th and Sunday, July 24th in Blue Hill. The Saturday night concert is a fund-raiser for Bagaduce Music, with a 5pm reception preceding the 6pm outdoor concert at the newly-renovated Farmhouse Inn in Blue Hill. The following day’s 5pm Reprise of A Cabaret will take place outside at The Bay School in Blue Hill.
Both events will feature the popular John McVeigh in a Cabaret-style performance and will include selections from Bagaduce Music’s extensive sheet music collection.
John adds, “We are thrilled to be welcoming back Bonne Kramer! Also joining us will be Broadway veteran Fred Rose (Company, Cabaret, Phantom of the Opera) and the blossoming newcomer, Leana Rae Concepcion (last seen at Opera House Arts in June for the Broadway in Stonington concert). We will be performing some Broadway standards as well as some unknown gems.”
The benefit concert is sponsored by Joan and Don Cousar, Grace and Bill Gregor, and Elizabeth and Phillip Ryan. Tickets can be purchased online at bagaducemusic.org or by calling 374-5454.
Bagaduce Music’s mission is to collect, preserve and lend printed sheet music and to promote the appreciation, knowledge, and performance of music.
