2019 Blue Hill Pops Concert

The 29th annual Blue Hill Pops Concert, sponsored by Bagaduce Music, was held on Wednesday, July 3 at 7 pm in the George Stevens Academy in Blue Hill, and once again was a huge success!
A summer-season tradition on the Blue Hill Peninsula since 1990, this year's concert, "A Downeast Sampler", featured the Maine humorist Tim Sample as Master of Ceremonies.  Tim regaled us with his wry observations of life in this great state.
Other program highlights included the renowned Baltimore jazz band Tongue in Cheek, who played jazz and swing standards, and the local women's a cappella group Ellacappella, who harmonized with their appealing arrangements.  The Blue Moose Contra Dance Band entertained audience members as they arrived, and Evan Smith,a winner of Bagaduce Music's 23rd annual Young Composers Competition played his original piano composition.  As in past years, Blue Hill Pops concluded with an audience singalong of patriotic songs.
A big "Thank You" to our corporate sponsors:  Bar Harbor Bank & Trust, Bianco Provisions, Blue Hill Accounting, The First National Bank, Leaf and Anna, Stanley Subaru, Tradewinds Marketplace and Wallace Events.
