Shape-Note Singing Workshop

Join soprano and composer Anna Dembska as she teaches a workshop on four-part singing. Community-based and participatory, this type of singing was developed in the 18th -century to teach congregations to sing a cappella. No music reading or prior experience is necessary! Anna will bring historical context to this centuries-old tradition that has strong roots in Maine.
