On display beginning this weekend will be a new exhibit, Beckoning The Elements/The Calling. The exhibit features a selection of work by Castine-based artist Lisa Tyson Ennis and Blue Hill-based artist Heidi Daub who both take inspiration from the quiet stillness of their natural surroundings. Ennis’ work explores various stories around the elusive passage of time and change and will feature her works in the 19th-century historical photographic processes of cyanotype. Daub describes her works as “evolving from an introspection” and “an attempt to find color, form, and movement to express what we cannot describe, but what we feel”. Beckoning The Elements/The Calling is on display in the Performance Hall through September 30th with a reception being scheduled in the near future.
