The Bagaduce Music Lending Library is a non-profit, one-of-a-kind printed music Library located in the town of Blue Hill on the Maine coast.  We exist to preserve printed music and make it available to anyone who needs it.  Thousands of musicians and groups around the globe regularly borrow from our collection.

We house and preserve over 215,000 individual titles and over 1 million pieces of music. New titles are added daily. Comprised of donations made by musicians and music lovers over the past 27 years, our holdings are a snapshot of what musicians have owned and played during the past century.  We collect all styles and periods from string quartets, choral music, piano for two and four hands to madrigals and motets, opera, and contemporary popular music, including multiple copies of many choral works.  Our collection includes many rare and out-of-print titles.

We invite you to search our holdings online, become a member and borrow music.  If you have any questions, our staff and volunteers are available five days a week.

As a non-profit organization, we rely on the generosity of donors and volunteers to keep our operation going.  This library has been built and sustained by musicians and music lovers who find great value in printed music and want to preserve it for the future and share it with as many people as they can. We help to expand repertoires and lower costs for numerous music organizations around the country and thousands of concerts each year are improved by using our music.  If you like what you see here, please consider supporting our work.
